My company a while back bought the said model in message title. The unit is set to bridge mode and is completely and utterly inaccessible. The IP is static at 10.240.0.110. I downloaded the util from hawkings site to configure the unit (same software as on original CD) to no avail. I try opening the unit through port 80 and am asked for username and password, of which I have neither. There is no reset button on the unit, the tech says that the "reboot" button held down for 30 seconds resets it, but it doesn't. The Hawking email support said the following: "Some of those model can't be reset, you may have to replace it, please use the attached form apply for RMA."

I find that to be unacceptable for someone to make a "disposable" unit. Please help!

How were you able to set the unit to bridge mode? Was it configurable until you configured it and then it was inaccessible? Is the unit configured to connect to a particular SSID?

I've never been able to configure this unit. It was used somewhere and the person who configured it is long gone, along with the password. Yes, the unit is configured to connect to a particular SSID, but I do not know what it is. :(

I assume you tried the default username and password (both blank) to login to the unit (doesn't hurt to ask, right?)...

It seems like a lot of people have had trouble with that particular model, especially in the area of resetting the device. It also seems that there is less trouble with the Rev. M model. It would seem that maybe the RMA is the only way to go, unless you can pop it open and figure out a way to reset it. Good luck...

It is a longshot, but have you tried unplugging the unit and holding down the reboot button when you plug it back in to reset it?

default username and password attempted half a dozen times.

I can pop it open and the chip inside is the Ubicom IS2022. If there are two pins I can short to reset it I'd be happy! They will charge to replace the unit, they won't upgrade me to Rev. M

JDMnAR1: I've tried all the combinations, hold the reboot while plugging it in, while unplugging it, etc.

Is there a way to hack into the password thing? Any tools to brute force it? I'm pretty sure the password would be easy to break. It might be hard since I don't have a username =
