Taking pictures in a less-than-optimally-lighted public aquarium sounds like a good challenge for lirion. 🙂Originally posted by: Aquaman
lirion........... have you ever done any digital shoots of public aquariums? That Stuff interests me........ whenever I visit Monterey or any other public aquarium. That flash won't work in the aqariums becuase of the glass though.
Cheers,
Aquaman

Here's the equipment I used to make all of these particular shots. If you need to know anything about a particular shot or subject, ask away.
Let me know what you think.
I think I want one of those cameras... how much was it?
Human flesh is pretty nasty looking, ain't it? 🙂Originally posted by: lirion
I almost forgot this one. This springtail is gigantic- for a springtail, which is still tiny. It might be 1.5 millimeters long, maybe. It was sitting on my dirty fingertip, and my filthy thumbail is in the shot too. I wouldn't say this has any asthetic value at all, but it is neat because you can see its furcula. That's that spike thing underneath it pointing up towards its face. That's what it uses to jump.
He may not be quite as close as you think. With some of his lenses, I think he can get 8 to 12 inches away and still have the shots appear to be very close, but even that is still awfully close for someone (like me) who's not comfortable around those little spiders (especially the jumping ones). 😱Originally posted by: MustangSVT

i never thought u can get so close to insects without them moving away .
