The specifications are in my system rigs.

The Intel P4 2.6 is Gamma Rig.

The Athlon XP 2700+ is Scorpion Rig.

I'm wondering if I should switch the card in these two systems, bare in mind that my ATI 9500 Pro BIOS has been flashed and is now recognized as a 9700 Pro. I am able to overclock the core clock to 315MHz and the Memory clock to 297MHz.

The 9800 Pro BIOS has not been flashed and I can overclock it to 400MHz and the Memory clock to 346.5MHz.

Both have original cooling.

So, what is your opinion?

TIA

Mark

Maybe, I'm not an expert, but I don't think it will matter much when your playing games. Both should be fine.

My opinion:

Both machines are fast enough that it won't matter.
If you put the 9800pro in each machine and play some games and can tell a difference between the two computers you are a freak of nature.

you flashed your 9500PRO to a 9700 bios?? i dont know hwat you will achieve since you still are on 128bit bus. its not softmoddable to 9700 only the 9500NP.

your 2.6 oc to 2.8c, vs a tbred at 2.3

2.8 is faster. 2.3 tbred is equivalent to a 2.1 barton,
