why like in norton if it cant remove the virus it will quatine it or something like that why cant it just ZAP it?
the virus my friend has but quatuine is "W32.Supova.Worm"

Norton will quarantine a file that it cannot fix with the hopes that updated virus definitions will allow it to fix that file at some point in the future. In the meantime with it quarantined off it makes it "harder" for you to get at and risk it spreading.

BTW you can "zap" it if you go and view the quarantine in NAV. It will give you options to delete files rather than keeping them around.

I dont know that it has an option called "zap" but if you delete it than it's gone for good.

If it's a file you care about I would leave it in the quarantine in hopes that symantec will eventually find a way to clean it out (just keep updating your definitions and trying to repair that file periodically).

If it's a file you dont care about than just delete it.
