For the life of me, I can't figure out if there's a way to have windows explorer default to the "details" view. It seems like the default view is the "tiles" view.

Is there a way to do it? Where can I do it?

Thanks for the help.

Open Windows Explorer, set it to the Details view (and any other view changes you might want), then click on the Tools menu and select Folder Options. Click on the View tab and click on the button labeled "Apply to All Folders".

After you do this, Explorer will default to show all folders with the same layout that you set up before clicking on the "Apply" button.
