It's a good deal for the money. I like the improvements over the older A500........it has room for an added fan in back, and the power supply is now horizontal on top, and not vertical like the old A500.

I recommend it if you don't want to spend too much on a case, and the Enlight 7237 is another one to look at, with one additional 5.25" bay if you need it and a little thinner sheet metal. The S500 doesn't have a removable motherboard tray, unlike the older A500, but it is easy to work in there. The side panels come off and they only have to slide back an inch to be removed, meaning that you can mount fans on the side panel if you want to put a blowhole on it. It doesn't come with any additional fans included. I would add at least a fan in the rear.

Good case. Got 2 of them. Looks really nice, and cooling options are pretty good, whether you choose or choose not to make some blowholes

wel old topic to bring back up. I called around and this case was at a locla store going for $68. What do you guys think? should i go for it? I need a good case for overclocking as I will be running a duron 750@950mhz. any input would be apreciated.

indeed, i posted this topic a month ago. since then, i have bought this case. im' currently awaiting the arrival of my hsf so i can build the computer, but i've mounted the drives and prepped the case etc. so far, i think it's an excellent case. just be sure you're getting the 300w psu.

The S500 is like a better Enlight 7237. Have everything the 7237 has but better, like the door moves back instead of forward making it so you don't have to remove the brazel every time. Drive rails are screwless, 3 1/2 bay comes out sideways instead of out through the front. The thickness of the metal is alot thicker and the case feels alot thicker, stiff, sturdy. One thing i hate about the S500 is its power button feels real flimsy but in all its a better 7237.

I have the IW- S508 from Fry's for $64.90 (just reduced from $89.)
Great looking, sturdy case, large front air vents ...........only negatives are:
Just comes w/ 250w ps.
No re-set button.

Theres a reset button its really small under the 2 lights..it doesn't look like a reset switch.

okay now im vcery tempted to go buy it. But is it good cooling wise? Now al I am worried about is if it wil properly cool a overclocked system.Thanks again

Its cools great, compared to stock enlight 7237..probably better due that its intake holes are more open allowing more air. Also the new Powerman PS that comes with these cases the new ones come with dual fans just like the enermax units, which help out suck out alot of air.

well called up local store. First guy i tlaked to said price was$68 with a 235 watt ps. I called again and i got osmeotehr guy. I aksed him about 300watt ps. He said he could order ti and I could get it on thurs morning. He said price would be $65. strange i think .. maybe the first guy is messing around with me? oh well. good price it seems after hearing everyone's comments
