At which of the following stages would you wish to end your life.

1. You are a quadriplegic, unable to move anything from the neck down.
2. Same as 1, but now you also cannot swallow and need a feeding tube.
3. Same as 2, but now you also cannot breath your own and need 24 hour ventilation.
4. Same as 3, but now you also cannot speak any more.
5. Same as 4, but now you are also deaf.
6. Same as 5, but now you also blind.
7. Now you are in a vegetative state.

With expensive stuff nerves can be regrown... in fact all of the listed can be treated with enough money. 😛
Well and willingness to do experimental stuff.

If I ever get a cold that lasts more than two weeks, I'm outa here. Women are the ones that put up with years of chronic pain. Being sensible, when faced with chronic pain, men simply, and wisely, die.

If I didn't have a dog to take of, I'd probably have the guts to off myself today.
That said, #1 would be more than enough for me.

unless I can have my head transplanted on to the lifeless body of Nancy Grace, then I'll go ahead and end it at #1.

#2 on down.

I'd still live with #1. They're doing great things with stem cells. I'd hold out hope they can restore my movement.

Screw that... sit in a chair and watch your life go by? Naa im good, I dont want to feel like a burden for anyone. If i can't clean, and feed myself then shoot me.

I would say #1 assuming technology and medicine remained the same as it is today. If given the hope that research could one day solve my issues, I don't know what I would choose. I don't know enough on the subject to make a decision.

Damn OP you pulled no punches.

That's a tough question AND not one any of us want to face. When I thought of being entirely dependent on care givers... permanently... that's not pleasant. I had to side with option 1 though I cannot truly say what state of mind I'd be in at the time.
