In which order should I watch Rurouni Kenshin? OVA's, TV series?

There's 4 OVAs so do I need to watch them in order or kind of inbwtween the episodes.? Please help with which order to watch the series. Thanks.

Is Samurai X related?

Watch the OAV's first. You learn where the scars on his face come from and other things.

It does not matter in which order you watch the Kenshin OVAs But I recommend watching them before and in japenese w/ subtitles. Its much better. As for Samurai X don't watch it until you have seen at least 30 or so episodes, not because you miss out on the plot, but you might not get some of the humor...
