In Vista Final, do fps still go down as much as they used to?

Any trurth to this?

Multiple people's claim (RC1): My fps will go down to roughly -20 or even half if I run vista.

I heard this about RC1, but no confirmation if this is fixed in final..

The problem is the drivers not the OS itself. By the time it's released to the public I am sure that the drivers will have improved.

true but every other site that's benchmarked Vista has show similar results, so i'm willing to take their word on this.

I wouldn't say it's 100% poor drivers, i think bloated and buggy OS has alot to do with it too. Vista isn't for performance minded gamers, there is a performance hit and you lose EAX.
