In-use files that were just encoded

I've been encoding some videos using AutoGK but a lot of times the output/encoded files are in-use as well as the directories. Like last night I encoded something and had it shutdown after it was done, then today I boot up the computer and go to delete the cd1 and cd2 (I only wanted the complete 1400mb video) but they are "in-use".

This has happened to me pretty much everytime as well as in the past when I encoded a bunch of things. It seems like it takes several days (I turn computer on then off at night each day) before they magically can be deleted.

I know I need to get around to trying out some encodes in h.264 using Fairuse, but for now AutoGK is very quick to set-up, but I wanna delete the split cd1 and cd2 files but for some reason even after a reboot they are still locked.

Anyone have this happen to them and what they did to fix it?

edit: Nvm possibly.

Oddly enough of the THREE pairs of cd1/cd2 files that I tried deleting but were locked right before posting, now all 3 were suddenly able to be deleted after I posted this message.
