Hi. Let me first begin my saying I really enjoy the forums here and I am glad to be a member. I have 2 suggestions from entirely different ends of the spectrum.
1) When you click on a link to view a thread, you go to the thread but some of the info such as # of replies and # of views remains 'outside' the thread. Just wondering since there is always room at the top next to the Topic Title, Summary and Created On areas - if that info could be included 'inside' the thread as well.
2) I realize everyone has a right to say what they want to say, be it encouraging words, flames, etc etc and everything in between. But some of the new members are being met quite harshly. Even the most experienced user can read through the guides and stickied threads and still have questions. Not everyone's post count is an indicator of their knowledge and experience - sometimes it is quite the opposite. For these reasons I propose a recommendation of etiquette and consideration to all members - which is simply to shut up if you have nothing good/constructive/worthwhile to add to the thread. I think the negative users, the users that add nothing worthwhile to the forum, have a way of making their way on to bigger & better things on their own or with the help of the mods. Yet all too often someone's low post count and sometimes less-than-uber-expert enquiries (ie. rate this stuff, help me etc etc) earns them discouraging and even insulting replies. There's just no reason for it - it poisons the threads and definitely scares away new users who, given a little time, would add to the flavour and diversity of the community.
That's all I had for now - thanks.
