Pizza!

I used my Kitchen Aid Pro 6 to make a thin crispy pizza with mozzarella, ham, thinly sliced bell pepper (with my CCK Chinese chef's knife), caramelized onions, roasted tomatoes and garlic.

Life is good. :D

Ohhhhhhhh, that sounds soooo good. I just finished half a squash for dinner, with corn on the cob. Pizza sounds so much better.

Damn, it SO does! I have offered in the past to shave my legs and get breast implants if Haya would leave his wife and marry me.

I never heard back. :hmm:

However, lightly steamed squash, with nothing but a sprinkling of tamari (soy sauce), and sweet, sweet corn on the cob . . . say with fresh squeezed lemon and cracked black pepper instead of butter and salt (<----also good!) sounds just fine as well.

I'm still in Dallas, and I've been eating barbecue at every opportunity. Tonight it was brisket, chicken and turkey, along with some green beans & bacon and bbq baked beans.

Pizza dough, mozz, ham, garlic, pepper and carmelized onions, it would be impossible to take that combination of ingredients and create something that wasn't delicious.

How's your knife?

I bought two, a KF1301 and a KF1101. Of the two I often pick the 1301, but when I'm looking to slice something very thinly the 1101 seems better, perhaps it's additional size/weight is a factor. They have become my favorite knives, even more than my Fr. Dick 13" chefs.

You might want to try the roasted tomatoes. I picked some from the garden, sliced them about 1/3" or so. I have a big box of half sheet parchment paper and lined a half sheet pan with one. Put the slices on it, topped them with olive oil and placed whole unpeeled garlic on the tray.

They were baked at 450F until they started to caramelized, about 40 minutes IIRC. The garlic was soft and I squeezed the cloves out of their skins into a bowl and mashed them with a fork and added olive oil. Brushed the latter on before adding anything else, then built the rest of the pizza on top then placed it on a 500F baking stone. No I didn't put it on a rack by itself :D
