In the Shamwow guy case, why isn't prostitution one of the crimes?

Why isn't prostitution one of the crimes here? Seems like it's openly stated that he paid her $1000 to have sex.

This sounds like one of those cases where some pot head will have his drugs stolen, or get into a fight with someone and calls the cops. Cops arrive, and arrest everyone involved for drugs, even though violence and/or theft were also involved.

 
Well the cops were bribed with shamwow's.

They have enough of them that if they ever wished they could soak up a entire ocean or two.
 
Did they actually end up having intercourse? Maybe it's technically not prostitution if it doesn't go that far?

I dunno, never really looked into the laws on it. 😛

da has discretion, perhaps dealing with the assault/sorting out who attacked who is using up enough resources that they haven't slapped that additional charge on.
