Wow. Lotsa Google fanboys in here.

I've used GMail and I think it's ugly and impractical. If they straighten some things out and make features more useful and accessible then I may consider it better than Hotmail. Until then Yahoo! > Hotmail > GMail.

Ugly is quickly fixed by POP3. Impractical, how?

Such as?

I find the keyboard commands to be very useful. And they offer POP3. I'll switch if there is another free email service that's better, but gmail seems like they are lightyears ahead and improving at a rate faster than any other service cared to do in their time.

i think it's all a matter of taste. i subscribed to a lot of high volume mailing lists (100+/day), and i find GMail's interface very convenient. Hotmail's spam is so out of control, the only reason i still use it is because i can easily access it through outlook express. if GMail ever offer IMAP i would kick Hotmail away for good. no doubt in my mind.

i only use yahoo for the instant messenger. now that they have Yahoo 360 (social networking, blog, etc) started i might begin to use the webmail.

btw, i have Yahoo 360 invitations if anybody wants to try it out. pm me if you want one.

that really is a good question how is it unpractical? I like the fact that my 2GB inbox is not cluttered by 15 replys by one person. I email back and forth between friends quite often, and we seldom change the subject line. Gmail puts all those under one slot in my inbox instead of 15... w00t. plus free mail forwarding, pop3 access, and no silly "Do you Yahoo?" at the bottom of emails... and I don't have to pay $19.99/year to get it... im not sure how any one couldn't say gmail>yahoo>hotmail
