In the process of watching Van Helsing

I went in expecting a seriously laughable bad movie like Kull The Conqueror, but even then I was disappointed.

Now if only it were made to have a strong R rating... ah, but then we can't keep everybody happy at the same time.

I didn't like Underworld too much either, the vampires were way too weak. Then again I was pretty toasted when I watched it, so a reviewing might change my opinion. And yet again, over 2 hours??? I have a pretty good attention span but some movies just drag on and on (vanhelsing...).

ugh...thank god i didnt have to pay to see van helsing. i still want my 2 1/2 hours back, though. The only thing good in that movie was kate beckinsale.

I personally thought the ending was pretty good.

Things don't always have a happy ending where all the good guys still live.

Which is one of the reasons why I love japanese/chinese movies. They don't go the disney route (ie, always a happy ending)

Uh... it *was* a happy ending. It was just really stupid that he had to transform into the wolfman to beat Dracula. I wanna see some serious gun slinging and gadget wielding against him. I wanna see gadgets specifically reserved for Dracula!

All of those things you mention were either in the comic book, which was pre-Matrix, or ripped off from other sources by The Matrix. Try again.
