In the process of repairing and upgrading

Hello everyone,

I've had my gaming rig for two years now and recently I've noticed drops in performance. More importantly, my video card fan is now much louder than it used to be, to the point where I start wondering if I'll get an overheat error.

I used a can of air and a vacuum to clean out most of the dust in my PC but that did not help.

Now I'm trying to find the easiest way to identify which component in my PC is the bottleneck and needs an upgrade.

How can I do this?

Thanks.

You need an air compress to clean out all the dust, get one of those $99 from homedepot. You video card fan might need a bit of oil. A clean reinstall is a sure way of speeding things up.

I'll try that, thanks. I hadn't though of oiling the fan.

In terms of software, is there a program that will test my PC and tell me which component is the bottleneck?
