This is what I was told. Keep your credit or debit cards at home. Take just enough cash with you that will get you through the day.

When I'm living at my parent's house, I've found myself eating out quite a bit. My parents don't cook at regular times and I don't necessarily have a regular schedule either so I usually eat at a different time as them. If I buy groceries for myself my parents eat it before I get a chance to, so I just get take out a lot.

Ungrateful moochers!

I can't complain too much since I'm getting free housing, but it does make buying groceries and trying to eat cheap a waste of time.

He was being sarcastic.

I figured, just wanted to make sure.

Or you could just exercise self control.

Q: when you eat out, do you normally eat out alone or with others? One thing you might want to try doing is to have rotating "dinner parties" with your friends. This way you're not always the one cooking, and you still get to have quality time with your friends. Not only that, but you don't get stuck with leftovers for a week. Keeps costs down, the friends in, and the leftovers out.
Another option is get a few people together and everyone prepare one item, that way you don't have to spend time making everything, just cook one thing and be done with it.

It's also a good way to meet girls.

Not girls that will have sex with you, mind you. Girls that will take you shopping, talk to you about feelings, and, on occasion, introduce you to other guys (because they assume you're gay)...

As, what a sad life I've lived :(

QFT!

Damn, that sucks, but maybe if they open up to you, you'll learn the secrets behind the "thought process" of wimmenz? If you hear anything good, let us men on AT know.

I cook at home just about everyday, but also eat out a lot. Many of the places I go to eat at serve food that I'm unable or just flat out unwilling to make.
I love food, I love to spend money on food. I'd rather spend extra cash on good food and drink over random junk.

1. Purchase same items grocery store.
2. Subtract the cost of buying at a grocery store from buying at restaurant.
3. Send the difference to my PayPal account.
Just the money you save would be convincing enough. Sending the difference to me would likely disturb you enough to start cooking at home.

I never have time to make my own meals so I find myself eating out every day too.

For breakfast I have a bowl of cereal and/or a banana. For lunch I have a banana+ an early dinner or a 6" cold cut trio from subway(or other sandwich)+ a normal dinner. Dinner is usually my biggest meal and I eat whatever I feel like.

If you do decide to cook for yourself, buy small portions to start and make sure you only buy food you are absolutely gonna finish. If youre trying to save money, buying simple, easy to prepare meals is the way to go.

I suggest getting yourself powdered drinks like Tang, Gadorade, and Propel to drink and eating potatoes, bananas, and corn. Canned foods I like are cambel soups and stag chilli. Rice + cooked chicken that's been marinated with something is another easy meal.
