Regrettably, prejudice and discrimination will likely remain elements of the human experience in the future unless society begins to radically change itself in the present. While this is an age of embracing diversity, celebrating differences, and multiculturalism, challenging ourselves to view everyone as equal as Hyper99 suggests will require all of us to address many issues. These include the gains such as social and economic superiority from keeping others in less-than statuses, ingroup bias processes, conformity, frustration, the media, and the importance of simplifying our world through classification are all issues that will need to be addressed before we will live in a future devoid of inequality and full of harmony.
(Sorry if this isn't exactly cogent or coherent; it's late and my brain is slowing down...)
