er... i'm referring to the game risk here. most of my armies were spread out on the board, and 1 here, 1 here, etc.. and i had 10 people in 1 army. my brother had 30 people in his army 1 space over.

do you attack? or retreat to australia? (i owned australia)

i attacked. and won.

course, next troop getting time, he owned me and destroyed australia...

I had a game where my friend and I both wanted Australia to the point of being willing to destroy each other on the first turn. So we did. We were both down to maybe 3 armies apiece, then we decided to ally for some reason. I gave him Australia and I took a few countries in SE Asia. No one paid much attention to us because they were too busy killing each other, and we were able to grow large enough to take over most of the board. It was awesome.

in that situation, i would have consolidated my forces and waited, since defender has the tie advantage

psht risk is lame compared to the original civilization board game (the comp games were based off the board game but not really that similar)

that game is epic.....4-6 people takes about 8 hours to play a game.....

you have to deal with trading gems and wood and blah blah blah and getting plagues, fires etc. (in the trading cards)

so its a battle of allying with people (not screwing them over by attacking them or trading them bad cards)

and not just i roll dice ....i roll dice.....i roll dice

so you have to think alot more and play it more socially of a game than risk

edit: and you can win by either destroying your enemy or advancing farther than anyone else and having the most resources, and people on the board......
