I found myself building a cheap shelf last night to house all of my console games that, to date, have just been sitting in tall piles on top of my subwoofer for the past couple of years. I still have all the Rachet and Clank games, God of War 2, Siren, Ninja Gaiden Black, Haunting Ground, FF12 (still haven't beaten it, maybe that's why), and Jak 3. Everything else I've either sold or given/loaned to people because I don't touch them anymore and don't really want to.

Just curious what games people hold onto as their favorites of the last gen.

I didn't really include Gamecube, because although I'll probably always have Mario Sunshine, SSBM, Wind Waker, the 2 Metroid Primers, and Mario Kart: DD in my collection, I can't really pin down any exlusive 3rd party GC title that I would covet. But feel free to throw anything from the GC in as well if you have something.
Maybe Battalion Wars...eh, I dunno, the Wii version is just as good and better, probably wouldn't ever go back to the GC version.

I don't think I'll ever get rid of any of them. They're not worth enough to bother, so I might as well keep them.

I always think it's funny when I go to Gamestop that they're selling Mario Kart Double Dash USED for $40 when Target usually has 1-2 copies of it in stock for $30

Yeah, there are some older games that have really held their value well (and then there are some that Gamestop likes to inflate the value of, like Halo and Halo 2 both selling for over $20). I've seen the two Zelda collections that came out on the Gamecube both selling for $40+ at Gamestop, and Fire Emblem held its value pretty well. But the games that have held their value are the ones that are worth keeping. :) The ones that I don't really care about, like NHL 2003, might get me $1 in trade if even that much.

The best thing about last-gen games is that you can buy a ton of them relatively cheaply. I'm practically gorging myself on PS1 and PS2 RPGs, and am having a ton of fun with a bunch of the Xbox and Gamecube games that I missed when they were new. Stuff like Odin Sphere and FF12 are classics.

I'll always keep my Final Fantasy's, MGS's, Atlus games, Blizzard games, exceptional RPG's (KotOR etc), Nintendo first party games, and just flat out good games that I loved playing (most recently R&C and Uncharted).

Even if I'm unlikely to replay games I'll often keep them "just in case."

I'll get rid of games only if I'm certain I'll never play them again. I do it more for saving space and for recycling than for the money though since most used games aren't worth the effort for me to sell them.

Yea I don't trade my games in at all but a few that stand out are Goldeneye for 64, SOTN for PSX, FF's for PSX, just to name a few.

I was going to get KOTOR2 for the xbox, but gamestop wanted $20 used for it. KOTOR1 was $6.99
