im taking my wife somewhere for her bd, and im trying to find the most romantic place in southern CA. thanks

i took my ex-gf to this cuban restaurant on this hill in pomona called coppacabana... just take the 10 east, exit fairplex, and go up the hill to the restaurant... i suggest making reservations...

it was some good cuban food, and we had a table that overlooked the valley... we dressed up and everything... oh, and their desserts are awesome too, get the creme brulee

hey axelfox, a couple years ago i took my wife to orange hill for our anniversary, it was really nice, i might go there again for her birthday. just wanted to see what other places there might be.

also iotone, yeah i see that place on my way home from work everyday, we might go there also. still trying to decide, i have till feb 7th to figure a place out to go.

oikos, ive never been to samwoo before but ive heard of it.

take her to a nice restaurant on ocean ave. in santa monica, theres tons of nice places out there with great food and wonderful ambiance.

I vote you go to the Dana Point area right by Newport. They have plenty of nice ocean front restaurants that are very atmospheric. Depending on where you are in SoCal, you'll be heading North from San Diego, and South from LA, and then keep going west until you hit PCH.

There is a place in Oceanside called Joe's Gourmet. It dosen't have a ocean view or any thing like that so don't go here if thats what you want. But it is small quanit and the food is admazing. Try citysearch too, I've always had good luck with them.

Nevermind. It's called Jay's Gourmet and its in Carlsbad. It dosen't sound like much but you'll be impressed if it is the place I'm thinking of. Maybe give it a trial run or driveby.

Top 10 Romantic Restaurants

ok that list has literati cafe listed at no. 6. i work down the street from that literati cafe and i hardly find it romantic. just a regular place i'd go and order lunch.

i'd just find a place with a great view. There are some great restaurants in santa monica right near the water.

LOL. don't go during lunch, you'll have to write your name on the clipboard and wait forever🙂
$5 lunch special baby!

I highly suggest the Hotel Del Coronado. It has a nice restaurant with good food plus it is right on the beach so once you are done eating you can take a romantic stroll.
