that is quite shocking. at the democratic convention he mentioned increasing military support of our overextended troops and investing more in technologies. I took that to mean that he was sending more and better equipped troops.
Now he is saying that he is going to slash troop presence, perhaps making them even more overextended. Geez, I hate the guy, but I have to vote for him. 🙁

wtf does nvidia have to do with kerry?

In the other thread he made some claim as to why a withdrawal of troops from Iraq would boost nVidia stock.

This still belongs in P/N though.

Under pressure to offer a clear alternative to President George W. Bush (news - web sites), Kerry promised last week to "significantly" draw down the 138,000-strong US force in Iraq within eight months of taking office. <-- one year from now

The Massachusetts senator said that using diplomacy to raise more international help and accelerating the training of Iraqi security forces, "it is appropriate to have a goal of reducing our troops over that period time."

The Republicans have also vowed to withdraw US troops as soon as possible but refuse to set a timetable. Bush said while campaigning on Friday that an immediate pullout would lead to "mayhem and bloodshed" in Iraq.
This belongs in P&N of course, but it looks like Bush has no confidence he'll have a stable Iraqi without needing current US tropp levels, even after another year of trying.
