In Panic. :( Epox 8rda+ flash failure

There was a touch point between mobo and my old case, so the mobo won't boot. Yesterday it happened again, and I couldn't solve the problem. So I rushed to microcenter and bought the slk2600amb for $30ar (great case btw).

When I got everything settled and boot, screen reads "CPU overclock failure" etc etc. I wasn't ocing cpu at that time, so I pressed reset, went into bios, selected "Load optimized setting" and reboot. It reads "Please wait! Flashing BIOS" etc.

I waited for about 15 minutes, then pressed reset. Yep, bios is gone, I couldn't pass the postcode FFh.

It is EPOX-8rda+. I have the new bios and flash utility, but of course couldn't do it on my own since the mobo won't boot at all. Does Epox mobo have any auto bios recovery?

Your help will be greatly appreciated, and will be very very helpful for my sage's progress in EQ2. 🙂

have you alread pulled the jumper by the battery and set it to reset mode, then back and turned the computer on?

Sometimes funny things happen with a new bios, and even a good flash can make it not boot w/o resetting the cmos.

You can try http://www.badflash.com/ if it comes down to it.

Would it hurt it?
Not at all. If you can find another 8RDA+ (or another nForce2 board) you can try to hotflash the BIOS.
