In Outlook Expess, is this the same thing as opening the mail?

When you get email in Outlook Express, you can right click on the mail, properties, details, message source. At this point you can see the text of the mail. For anti viral purposes, would this have the same effect of launchng a virus infected email as just clicking on it and opening it? Or would preview method allow you to see the email message without launching the potentialy infected email?

my guess is that youre risking getting the virus, since the computer is opening the email to check its source anyway.

simple virus scanner ought to do the job.
