In NT how do i remove....

After uninstalling some items, their names still show up in the add/remove programs window. you know, like start>settings>control panel>add/remove programs. in that list the proggys that have been removed still show up there. how do i get rid of them?

reinstall the software, and then uninstall again

Get and install TweakUI from Microsoft. TweakUI will let you manually delete any entries in the Add/Remove Program list that won't uninstall properly.

You can also use regcleaner . It a small utility that will allow you to do what you want. It will also remove the registry entries for the removed programs if any.
