The arguments in the book, "Where the Right Went Wrong," which was released late last week, may be familiar, at least to readers of his magazine, The American Conservative, which was founded as a forum for opposition from the right to the invasion of Iraq. Calling the invasion "the greatest strategic blunder in 40 years, a mistake more costly than Vietnam," Mr. Buchanan writes, "If prudence is the mark of a conservative, Mr. Bush has ceased to be a conservative."

Interesting. Does he have a following anymore?

Pat Buchanan has a large following. He often makes a lot of sense and he has a great sense of humor and is no small intellect. He is driven by a strong Catholic faith which colors some of his judgements, but I've always like him. Among conservative Catholics he might be the most well-known American political commentator.

I like Buchanan a lot, but he is a isolationist, IMO. In todays world, you have to be aggressive and not wait for the enemy to strike you.

Buchanan shared the same concerns that many liberals did about The PNAC and chalabi.

A man of integrity that sticks to his ideals. I disagree with alot he says and feel, but respect him as a smart, much needed personality in todays political world.
