Ok i had a thread named Receiver trying to figure out what audio set up i should get for 400 bux.

Well i now have 500 bux-192.50 i just spent on a HK-3480:D

So i now am left with $300 or so for speakers. I have looked at HHgregg, Circut City, And besybuy. Hhgregg and Circut city whernt much help both had problems with there speaker set ups... Bestbuy had some Klispch speakers set up some of whitch i rilly liked but would be more than 300. So im wanting to listen to some more speakers but dont know of any where els that would have any thing set up. Down south from me (Im just south of dayton) theres some big mall(s) dont know if any place in a mall would have anything as i dont rilly like going to the mall... So im just wondering if any one knows of any places that might have something set up to listen to that might be or is in my area becuse i would like to go tomarrow if i find any place.

Now back to the speakers. I know a guy that will do 325 on some AS-F2s or 300 if i drive 200 miles to pick them up... Only thing is i would probly need a sub at some point and ive herd that there not vary "agressive" i.e not to good with hardrock/metal, Whitch is what i would be listening to..

So i dont rilly know what i should get... Any imput is apresheated.

Ascend 170s have gotten great reviews and HK is even their recommended brand of receiver to pair them with.

Axiom m3ti

These online speaker companies have nice return policies to let you do an in home demo to check them out.

Aperion Audio will even ship both ways.

Try to find a paradigm dealer in your area to see if you can listen to some of the performance series.

There's probably a few AV stores in your area if you look around.

Dayton subs are on sale right now (although OOS) if you want a decent budget sub for $99 / $120 shipped. (check out Hot Deals)

Plasmadocs sells them.... I think it's really only useful when you want to make a package deal with an SVS sub instead of an HSU though.
