In need of good CD Burning software.

Here's the deal. I'm in the process of backing up all of my CD's (real and legally purchased cd's). In the past, I used WMP 10, and it worked flawlessly.

I installed Nero 7, so now whenever I try to burn using WMP, Nero just automatically takes over as the "default" cd burning program.

When I use Nero to burn a CD, the CD burns fine until I actually listen to the cd. All of the tracks have "skips" in them. I did not have this problem when I used WMP.

Anyone either know of another good CD burning app, or a way for me to tell Nero to let WMP burn the discs instead of itself??

Any help at all is much appreciated.

When you go there click on the "get it free".

It is legit, they sent my my free license key sometime ago, and for what they ask you to do, it is well worth it. This burning program is lean, does what you want, and is awesome.

The only thing I ever had to do was to download Adaptec's ASPI layer cause I have a weird burner that did not work well with STPI.

Chances are you won't have any issues.

That is a known bug in Nero 7 ... a lot of complaints about audio skipping

In some cases, reverting to the Older Version of the .dll file mentioned will fix it.
in some others, people had to upgrade the Firmware on the CD / DVD Drive

Do a Goggle on it or in the Nero Forums ... also since you have a legally
licensed copy of Nero, your Nero 7 key should work with Nero 6 (but not the other way usually)
If Nero 7 was bought (at retail or online) it comes with Lifetime Free Upgrades

Replace it with the older 2.0.4.7
