My parents 25th anniversary is quickly approaching and me being the non-creative one I am, I have no idea what to get for them. The most difficult fact is that I am over 18 hours away from home at school so I need something that I can ship there. What have you guys done on important dates such as milestone anniversaries?

how much money and time do you have to spend. A 25th anniversary is pretty important, so i would try and do something nice. DO you have any other siblings? Ages? If you all lived out of town, you could all fly/drive in and surprise them with a nice dinner or small family party. Getting them something like a huge arrangement of beautiful flowers is always good too. Also, you could try writing them a letter in a card saying how much you admire them/their marriage and what great parents they have been and how you hope to one day be as happy as they are, assuming that most of what your writing is true, it should make them very happy. Even if you cannot be there, doing something for your heart will make up for your absence. I am sure they know you love them! Good Luck!

PS...tell me what you end up doing!:)

I have two siblings. My younger brother (16) still lives at home, while my sister and I are away at school. Driving in/flying in is out of the question because we would not get there until early Saturday morning and would have to leave Sunday morning. I have asked my sister what she plans on doing and she is stumped too. Thanks for the suggestion.:)

They can wait until at least their 30th for that.

You know, if it's some kind of problem and Viagra doesn't help, you could always adopt... ;)

"They can wait until at least their 30th for that."

Uhmmm . . . do I take that to mean that you're 20 years old now? So you'll be like at least 25 when you have grandkids for your parents. :Q I'm just messing with you.

I'm sorry I cannot help you here, as I really do not know your parents. As their kid, you should have an idea of what would please them. Or maybe making a romantic scene in the house and cooking them something (or taking them out for dinner), buying them a card and all would work.

Congratulations to your parents! 25 years of marriage is a lot to have accomplished, as some people don't go past 5 years, not to speak of 10 or 15 years. They still have a long way to go though. I hope it remains a healthy and good relationship for the remainder of their lives. Whatever you do, please be sure to congratulate them on behalf of me. ;)
