In need of a good power supply

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ 1GHz FSB Socket 939 Dual Core Processor
GIGABYTE GA-K8N Pro-SLI AMD Motherboard
2 sticks Crucial 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400
XFX PVT43GNDF3 Geforce 6600GT 128MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card
4 Hard Drives
2 PCI Video cards
DVD/CD-RW Combo
DVD-RW Drive
Floppy Drive
2 120mm fans
1 90mm fan

I also plan on replacing the 2 PCI video cards with Another SLI card (not running in SLI with the other one) once I upgrade my other two monitors from CRT to LCD
possibly adding another Hard Drive
adding 2 more Sticks of Crucial 1GB DDR

I run my comp nearly non-stop and want to have more than ample power to keep everything running healthy.

Looking forward to your reccomendations, I don't mind paying for quality but don't wanna go overboard either.

wattage is not the most important factor. quality is.

look for a decent manufacturer.

Fortron manufactures its own line of power supplies under the FSP label. they are of top quality.

since you're willing to pay for quality but want something reasonably priced, the Fortron 500 Blue Storm is a great choice. if you want even more power, Fortron 550W PLG is the same price as the Blue Storm

either will suit you very well

I was going to recomend Fortron Blue storm as well. I have owned it and the Seasonic 600. The SEasonic is a bit more expensive, but I feel it is a tad better quality, but you are compairing BMWs and Mercedes here. Go with either they are both great.

Fortron vs Seasonic = BMW vs. Mercedes? No way. Seasonic is out of the league. Fortron is like comparing against Antec.

I recommend OCZ Powerstream/Modstream or Fortron but for a notch higher I would say Seasonic 600 or PC P&C 510.
