The GIGABYTE GA6BA (AT STYLE)is the one you want,slot1 BX chipset I believe it runs a CEL,P2,P3 UPTO 600 MHZ, to be honest it`s the only AT board I know of.

Thanks Mem I'll look at it. I know that Epox,DFI and FIX all make one for the AMD K6-II. Just looking for more ideas. I'd like to find one that supports the Cellies Socket 370. anyone else?

thanks Friends. I appreaciate the input. At work, we need the replace several old P100 systems, and they want me to look into ungrading the systems instead of buying new. I think the money saved on upgrading would be spent on the extra labor needed (I'd be doing the work) to replace the motherboard.

As far as I've seen it, there are no Athlon mainboards in BAT form factor at all.

As for Pentium-III and Celeron:

PC-Chips has a new revision of their M765VMRT, in short, VIA Apollo Pro 133 chipset, slot-1 and FCPGA-370, onboard sound and softmodem. (The Matsonic board probably is identical to that one.)

They also have a very cheap M727MR, ALi Apollo Pro chipset, FCPGA-370 only, limited to 100 MHz, onboard sound and modem as well. This might come in handy if you plan on using a Celeron (which are 66-MHz-bus anyway).

BAT mainboards with slot-1 are a tight fit in many smaller housings, the standing CPU colliding with the drive bay - so you should be shopping for a socket-370 CPU.

Regards, Peter

Thanks Guys. I was looking at Socket 7 or 370 BAT board. I know that there are a few out there for the K6-2 (socket 7). I'd like to stay w/ Socket vs slot. The cases are cramped.

the pc-chips integrated AT motherboards are plug n play pretty much for upgrading from a crappy system to a more powerful cpu, the latest versions support both slot 1 and socket 370(non-fcpga). P3 via Slot 1, two dimm slots, on-board everything, pretty low performance, pretty low upgrade cost.

Figure:
New ram
New pcchips board
New cpu

everything else built in. Everything lan, modem, sound, vga, etc.

Performance, lowest of the BX class motherboards. Decent except for video with the 810e chipset. BTW i have the 810e and its VERY VERY stable running a 366 at 550 and a 533 at 800. more so than the BX chipset boards. Wierd huh.

bummer over at forsale/trade is selling a bunch of integrated boards with 810 chipset for like $39 shipped, btw. might be a good time to snatch them up real quick, cause they'll cost nearly $100/piece retail for the same boards. he's a good seller and fast shipped. just fyi.
