That's because they don't precook their burgers and heat them up later (Burger King anyone?) and are always busy. It's worth the wait though IMO.

I kept hearing of In n Out (having no idea what the hell it was at first, living on the east coast) so when I went to CA I had to try it. I ordered a double double: Sex in my mouth. Amazing, I wish they had them here. They really are the best, not just CA hype.


Recently in some magazine they had a national list of the best burgers and In n' Out was #6 out of 100, and that included everywhere and anyplace that sold burgers (not just fast food, but regular restuarants too).

Too bad if you don't like their fries, 'cause they're freshly cut and cooked. Yes, that's what real fries taste like. Everything they make is made to order and freshly cooked. Love it. I always get the 2x cheese burger for $4.01.

Well than real fries suck. Double, double animal style with extra grilled onioins is good. But I think a Wendys double stack is a much better value. Plus, In N Out's drive-thru is always really slow.

the way i understand it u fry potato at one temperature to cook it, and finish it off at a higher temperature to add the crisp. its like in and out only does the first part or somethin
