Down here in Myrtle Beach, SC for a week of vacation. Does anyone have any recommendations of places to eat or things that should be on my must do list?

Heh I don't remember much being open in Myrtle during Spring Break. Too cold for water parks etc. I think we drove to Charleston to check out the USS Yorktown. I think there is a pretty good aquarium there too.

The wife and I vacationed there last year. Broadway at the Beach is fun for a few hours if you like to shop. We ate at Senor Frog's, which is a big tourist restaurant but I highly recommend against it. Food was subpar and too expensive.

We ate at Dino's for breakfast one morning, up in North Myrtle Beach. Standard breakfast fare but still pretty good.

Other than that, Myrtle Beach is your typical tourist city.

Good restaurants up the road a bit in Calabash NC just over the state line. The Boundary House is a good one. Shopping - Broadway at the Beach or Barefoot Landing in N. Myrtle Beach. There's a lot of outlet stores in the area too.

Stopped going to Myrtle Beach a few years back. The beaches went way down hill, and you can see the slums moving into the tourist areas. A lot of the shops on the pier were closed, and the remaining were mostly henna shops, tshirt shops, and places that sold bongs and airsoft guns.

For nice beaches, we're now heading to Hilton Head a bit south of MB. Much nicer area.
