reason : the bastards at capital one would call me 3-4 times a day on my sprint cellphone. and i don't even have a capital one card or account.... they always ask for someone named 'junita lee' i guess i have her old number? do not call list doesn't work, telling them to stop call me doesn't work. so i want that ringtone to be assigned to them so i don't answer the phone when that song goes off.

oh, i'm not here to whine, i'm here to share that i found the 'french' version of rick rolled.

link to 2be3 who covered the song

you know, it doesnt sound half-bad in french. still sucky, and i gotta say i prefer rick astey over these guys.. but it's not that bad.

i think they should do it entirely in french, as opposed to saying "never gonna give you up" in english, unless there is no comparable phrase in french

I know this won't help but.... my buddy had a program that came with a Motorola phone (I think one of the original razors) that could take a music file, .mp3 or .wav, and convert it to a ringtone. It was awesome.

Stop using a sucky phone :(

My WM6 phone accepts mp3 ringtones, and my old RAZR (AKA: Old as crap) accepted mp3 ringtones as well!

you don't need to explain Rick Astley to us... we both accept and embrace your choice of ringtone... no questions asked.

it should be known that europe tends to be a decade behind us in styles. :p Can't wait till 2010 when thug rap with bitches, hoes, and syrup sippin' becomes popular. That will be entertaining to watch in French.
since the 90s was the time of pioneering hip hop and numerous boy bands, and colorful and baggy clothes became popular... it's only fitting for the French to have that stuff now. :D

What company is your phone service with?

If it's verizon then just email the clip in mp3 format to your phone number @vzwpix.com, for example 1231231234@vzwpix.com.

Once you receive the message on your phone you should be able to save it as a ringtone.

So you are intentionally setting up your phone so that the phone company will rickroll you 4 times a day? And the sound of "Never Gonna Give You Up" is pleasing enough to you that you don't immediately want to silence it by answering?

I think you need to rethink this plan my friend.

actually, it's the other way around. we are a good 5+ years behind Europe when it comes to style--particularly fashion. always have been.

Those styles that tend to pop out of America just never make it over there. Sure, there are ghetto-banging hip-hoppers in Europe, but their numbers are limited, and they came on to the scene no later than they did over here.

I guess I should add that I used Audacity to rip the music off youtube, cut out the 30 seconds using Wavepad, converted it for my Katana II (I should've got a RAZR V3M instead)...yada yada, I got my ringtone.

it's an irony that Capital One will never give me up when I'm not even a customer.

You need to tell them that she's dead or some other ridiculous reason to make them stop calling you. The personalized ringtone will not solve the problem, they need to stop calling.
