In market for new DVD burner

I have a lite-on 4X burner that has serverd me well for the last 2 years. Time to upgrade and have been out of the loop as far as DVD burners go. Recomend me a good one for under $80.00.

nec 3540a i believe is within that budget. or 3520a for around 60bucks. pioneer 109 i believe is a good one also dont recall price though.

I have the 3540a. I think it was $40 at newegg. It does the job and you can't beat the price.

Very good burner, I just ordered one. Cheap, plus you get a discount if you bundle blank DVDs with it.

I've got the BenQ and the NEC. Both excellent writers, similarly priced. Get whichever is cheaper.

No doubt. Even though I have a 3520, I understand that the Benq 1640 is a most excellent drive. I recommend it to my friends also.

NEC3520 has a refined aftermarket firmware. Benq has a quality control issue.

Personally I'd reccomend the Pioneer DVR-109 (or the 110 if it's out). I have burnt plenty of CD's/DVD's, and I havent burnt a coaster yet.

Best burner I've ever used.

I just got my 1640 and done 18 burns in a row no problem. My friend who also just got one at the same time (We ordered together) has done 7 burns without a problem.

True I need many more burns, but so far I'm perfectly happy

i like the benq, but i hate how i can't get it to overspeed with good results unlike my nec (old 3500 model) one.
