In linux, is there any way to set the window behaviour of certain buttons?

Depends on your window manager, and even then it can vary based on what theme you're using. Some themes in KDE and Gnome allow for this, for instance; I'd say just root around through various configs to see if you can't find anything. If you're lucky, there'll be a nice GUI for it; if not, be prepared to search and edit config files. ;-)
