In-Line volume control for desk placement

I'm pretty sure I came across it on this board a long time back. I'm looking for an inline volume control but it would be for desktop speakers and the control would sit on your desk instead of just being part of the cord. I thought it was from radioshack but couldn't find them.

Anyone seen anything like this?

Griffin made/makes a USB connected aluminum knob. You could use it to control all kinds of things, from universal controls such as audio to application specific functions like scrolling through documents.

Was going to mention the Griffin, but someone beat me to it. There are a few others like it out there as well, but I don't remember their names.

it has to be in-line since I'm using it to feed a secondary signal into my speakers. I want to be able to control the volume of that signal independant of the pc/speakers.
