In Law from hell (sorta), how do I handle this?

My brother in law has moved in with us temporarily and a situation has arisen and I'm not sure how to handle it. here goes; I have 6 PCs, all networked.

1. P4 1.6 woody (@ 2.2) 18" sony LCD (my main machine)
2. Dual P3 650 17" CRT
3. P3 XEON 500 19" CRT
4. Dual P2 350 19" CRT
5-6. two junkers sharing 17 CRT via KVM switch

I have setup the XEON in the family room for everybody to use primarily for web surfing. The P4 is my main box (I do let the kids play some of their games on it). The Duallys are my lab servers (file, web and e-mail server) but I do allow the dual p2 to be used as an "e-machine" in case someone has to get on the web (via cable) when the XEON and my machine is occupied, and the others are being used as "ping boxes"/lab clients.

Here's the issue; my bro in law has decided that my P4 is his computer. He has started to load programs on it without asking, the other day he invited his cousin over and suddenly my machine became their personal jukebox, he's doing his freind's taxes, and tonight I come down (after his dear sister pissed me off real good) and he's downloading pr0n by the gig from morpheus. I just built the P4 last week so prior to this he did use my Dual 650 on occassion, but he mainly used the XEON like everyone else. I got totally steamed when he had the (totally obnoxious) cousin on my machine the other day, and now with gigs of porn being downloaded, I have reached my limit. The question here is how do I handle this. I don't want to cut him off totally but I have children here and I refuse to take a chance on one of them stumbling on his porn collection. I'm trying to do this tactfully but I hate that because why should I have to? The fact that he is going to be here for a while is forcing me to take the kind and gentle route, but I don't know how to go about it, i'm not that subtle. I could simply move my P4 into my bedroom (which is off limits) but I don't want to exclude my kids and besides, if I don't address the porn issue I'm going to have the crap on my XEON (possibly exposing the kids). Quite frankly I want to kick his a$$ out right now (i'm steamed) but other than this the kid (23 yo) is OK. His sister (wifey) will not have a problem once I tell her about the porn but she hates the idea of having a PC in her bedroom. I hate being uncomfortable in my own home but I am, and this has to be dealt with.

Simple:

"That's MY computer. if you want to install ANYTHING on it, you must ask for my permission. And porn is a big no-no, whe have children in this house and they use this computer too"

You stand up for your self and tell him not to use your comps. If you PM me with you phone number I will do it, I love being a harda$$.

A good friend of mine overextended his priveleges on my machine once. I ended up sending him a long email over the issue, wherein I compared his use of my PC as the same as borrowing a car.

You return it AS SOON as possible. It DEFAULTS to being at MY disposal whenever I'm home. You DON"T modify it in any way whatsoever, ever. Give him the car analogy. It actually went over very well. Problem ended.

Tell him exactly what's on your mind!! It's your house, which he clearly doesn't respect. It's time to lay down the law!!!!

Maetryx has an excellent suggestion. basically, make sure he understands that using that computer is not a right, it's a privilege

Its your computer. If the a-hole was loading porn on my personal box I'd have his ass on the street especially with kids in the house. It sucks to be the hard ass sometimes, but that is what you have to do or this guy will walk all over you. Let them use one PC. Limit user privileges. If anyone there gives you any lip, send them to ATOT and we will straighten them out.
