Hi,

I am thinking of buying a very cheap laptop in Japan, where I live now.

I do not do any cpu Intensive programs, nor gaming.

I use: web browser, free office, Ghost VPN, and that's pretty much it.

Would I be better off buying a Chromebook like the Acer 720, or a cheap laptop like the Asus x200MA.

The chromebooks are not out in Japan yet, so I would have to import it from the USA, and pay 40-60$ in shipping and customs.

Thanks.

Its your decision, but I would tend to buy locally.

If you have to have any warranty work done, paying to ship anything back to the US is likely to be expensive in terms of both time and money.

Best of luck,
Uno

uno, as they sell in on Amazon and other japanese sites, warranty would be ok I think. I will look more into that. Thanks
