in honor of D-DAY i think we should all take a moment of silence and think about what those men went through and what they did for the world. today is the 59th anniversary

I have... John Kerry said something to the effect of "Today is June 6th, blah blah blah remember our armed forces," but he looked like an idiot because he said it on June 5th.

There is also a limited discussion about this here.
There are not that many WWII vets left.
Like I posted in the other thread, my Dad trained many of the pilots that flew missions that day.
