In Good Company or Phantom of the Opera

Romantic drama >>>>>>> Comedy

At least, with chicks.

Comedy is for seeing with friends. Or couples in a long-term relationship. If you want to get anywhere with her romantically and picking the "first" movies to see with her, you really want to stick to romance/drama/"arts" films.

Better choices abound if you have a theater in the area that does 'foreign' or 'independent' films. Girls REALLY dig those.

I understand "The Motorcycle Diaries" (playing in many) is pretty good.

"A Very Long Engagement" = MAJOR scorage. Foreign film, AND romance/drama.

And, I guess "Sideways" seems to be well received. That's a "comedy/drama", so....

EDIT: Yes, I suppose there are chicks that just like comedy flicks and don't go for foreign films/art films/etc. Ummm....I try to stay away from them. Shallow = teh suck.

Then I believe you will make the right choice. 😉

movie was alot better than I thought it would be...

The chicks voice and lips bug tho...BIG lips...MANLY voice.

but I digress... good movie!!

in god company was ok, but they tried to do the whole... "leave things unresolved and make you wonder" like Lost in Translation.

If you've seen Phantom live, I'd probably go see that one. It's always good to exploit past good dates with a current spin.
