Talk about micro transactions the latest COD AW is almost pay2win at this point. The best guns in the game, obsidian steed/speakeasy, can be obtained by buying Advanced Supply drops. These guns make a huuuuge difference. They're stats over normal variants of the same gun makes it extremely unfair. Fortunately for my son, he gotta speakeasy off a random supply drop. I got to test it out first hand, and if you're a decent player.. you turn into a beast with this gun. Totally unfair and I think it' dumb, but I bet there are a ton of people forking out dough for these supply drops.

People were talking about Day One purchases and whether you could take a "wait and see" approach with multiplayer games or whether you *have to* buy them day one to enjoy multiplayer. My post said that you don't have to wait very long to make an informed decision on a game, and cited Destiny as an example. People were talking about waiting a year before buying a game. My point was you don't have to wait a year. Obviously more time = more information, but even waiting through Day One yields a ton more relevant information than you'd have buying blindly on Day One.

On point if you ask me?

Well, there's always these people crawling out of the woodwork saying "never buy games on day one" "I will wait for a sale" etc. If you want to play with friends online you probably can't wait too long. Especially the people who buy a GOTY edition game and try to hop online to find the list of players is smallish. I guess I was reading more into the conversation than what was said. Still, I don't think it's wise to hold off too long on games that focus heavily on online play.

Yikes, I didn't know they had stuff like that. Terrible.
