I recently upgraded my system with a k8ne deluxe motherboard, an amd athlon 3400, and a geforce 6800 ultra video card. I'm having problems with games freezing for about 5 seconds at a time. It seems random, sometimes it wont happen for an hour then it will happen 3 times in a row. It isnt one particular game so I know it isnt the game's issue.

I tried putting in my old video card (radeon 9700) and didnt have any issues. I'm just wondering what steps I should take to solve this problem. The manual says if I experience frequent lockups i should download the agp mini-port drivers or something but I cant find anything like that on the web. Could it be bad hardware or is it probably just driver issues?
 
it could be either...trying fitting ur 6800U in another machine to isolate the problem!! but before doing that reinstall all ur drivers n games...if it still freezes trying swapping the card in another rig!
