In-Game flicker after RadeonPro installation

So I installed RadeonPro because I read that it'd help improve Skyrim playability with XFire until ATI releases a CAP which includes Skyrim. Afterwards, I got a weird yellow screen flicker during gameplay whenever I paused or looked at the local map. Figured it was some weird XFire glitch and uninstalled RadeonPro, but the problem remains and it happens in other games too which used to work fine. If I turn XFire off from the CCC the problem goes away (but obviously this is an unacceptable solution). I've even uninstalled CCC+driver completely, restarted, and re-installed everything (except RadeonPro) and the problem persists. Any ideas?

Uninstall driver + cap. restart in safe mode. run driver sweeper and clean out any old AMD/ATI video drivers. Install fresh 11.11 Cat and Cap 2. Then install Radeon Pro and set the profile for skyrim to Fallout3 and force AFR mode.

the newest version of driver sweeper was released over a year ago. Is it still an appropriate solution?

Yeah it works fine as the registry entries have not changed. It simply clears out the keys and all that when they are left behind during driver uninstall.

I only recommend this because it did fix an issue I had with CCC not enabling overdrive when I installed new AMD drivers. Plus it will get you back to square one again just to make sure.

Ok I did everything and I still have the problem. Its strange its like one card is sending the correct frame but the other card is not so every other frame is "off" and it flickers between the correct frame and the "off" frame but only when the game is paused or in a menu.

Is it possible for RadeonPro to have damaged my hardware? I don't have another XFire capable system to test these cards in.

Edit: I did everything except reinstall RadeonPro, I really don't want it anymore since it caused me this headache.

Tried running the game in windowed mode and it works perfectly fine. Which, IMO, means its not a hardware problem. Also, the fact that I have the problem in other games is what bothers me the most, since I only used RadeonPro to make a Skyrim specific profile, I don't see how it could affect ALL my games unless it changed something fundamental to the ATI drivers.

I couldnt help but smile abit after reading, and you concludeing it must be the cause of the problem, I do stuff like that occasionally too.

I tried ATI tray tools (old software as well), and ran into hellva problems too. I ended up with CCC again, and just flashing the bios of my GPU instead to get it to overclock + underclock (when idle).

I planned to use ATI tray Tools software to do it that way at first, but.... lmao was easier to use CCC and bios flash, than the software route. Some people sware by ATT though...

That's odd, maybe you should head over to guru3d.com and the ATI driver specific forum. Someone there might be able to give you some advice. Maybe you should use a specific driver for better results. Sorry I can't be of help.
