In France, what does STE mean?

I have seen it alot, and people sometimes use it as a name in Counter-Strike, BZ2 etc. its acually STé but I cant make a capital é. Its driving me insane what does it mean!

ST&Eacute; is french for CO.

actually, ST&Eacute; stand for societ&eacute; which is french for company which in turn is CO.
