No, it's so he can figure out the altitude he's at and jump out at the exact right moment to land in a nice soft pile of pillow.

No. I flew back to back flights across the globe and Jet Blue for some reason had the most legroom of all my flights. I was pleasantly surprised.

Did the designers of weather.com take over the in flight maps recently?

I was on a jet blue flight yesterday and I usually watch the flight maps but this is the first time I saw that the map is shown very briefly then gets replaced by full screen ads for a while before going back to the map. Plus the map is almost always super zoomed out, they no longer have as many multiple zooms like they used to. I was very sad.

P.S. Does anyone know if you qualify for jet blue mosaic does that status stay with you permanently or is it just for that year?

Just for that year through the end of the next year.

It's all about extra revenue now. I miss listening to channel 9 ATC on united flights.
Didn't matter if it was a 1 hour flight or a 10 hour flight, that was my entertainment.

They took that off? If so my scanner would work any how.

Maybe it's so suicide martyrs can't send a signal to somebody with a missile at the right time.

on united 737's, you have to pay to even look at the damn map.

goddamnit jeff smisek. ruined continental. no, it wasn't singapore or emirates or cathay pacific, but it wasn't united, american, or delta either.

now? it's like the took the worst parts of united and started stacking spirit on top of it.

But you can use a laptop, smartphone? No, this was hashed out on my scanner forum. So long as you don't wave it around it's fine.

Radio transmitter vs wifi is way different.

Hiding it's use doesn't make it legal.

Some airlines don't mind, but most prohibit radio transmission/receiving gear on their flights.

united was WAY nicer before the damn merger and smisek. now the miles are devalued and you cant even get a decent scotch on the flights.
