I wasn't insinuating piracy by any means, from what I've seen, getting it from japan is far too expensive in shipping for my liking and even the pre-release which I've been looking at buying won't ship for another week. In Flames is one band I refuse to pirate material from -they actually work for it and have talent as a result.l

I realize you dont know this, but Matt had surgery on his throat. Lost his ability to scream/sing and had to retrain his voice just to get it to what it is now. Which explains why his vocals are so much different.

I did know that, and so did the singer from Disturbed... I believe while they were recording their 2nd CD. I mean he didn't have it ON HIS throat, but stomach and lungs for acid reflux.

From what I remember Matt had his tonsils taken out. That's not voice altering surgery after it has all healed up. He recorded the entire Scream, Aim, Fire album in pain because he didn't want to get them taken out yet. I would rather have had the album later and had full intensity compared to this half-assed "my throat hurts" BS. He doesn't get pity points because he was in pain. I'm sorry but that's not how it works... a poor showing is a poor showing, regardless of the reason.

He had throat issues that caused him to have screaming/singing issues. He got surgery done and then had to retrain his voice.

"A Sense of Purpose" is alright. There are a few good songs (most seem better than "Come Clarity" stuff), and the tracks from the EP are rather good (I think).

It's still not nearly as good as pre-RtR albums, but it's certainly better than STYE. Overall, though, I enjoy listening to it.

I have been disappointed with everything after whoracle.

Gonna have to agree here, though I do have to admit, I really like the "only for the weak" track off of Clayman. It doesn't come anywhere close to Episode 666 though. One of my favorite songs to hear live.

Horrible, horrible album, just as Come Clarity, I couldnt get past the first song, it hurts my ears... To think In Flames made awesome melodeath albums such as Jester Race... Ahhh! Not this mallcore crap

But, I understand, they have legions of emo teen fans now, and are probably making money out of their asses, so I cant complain... If I wanna listen to decent melodic death Ill just fire up some Dark Tranquillity instead
