In Devil Survivor, what does 'Attack All' do?

google has failed me 🙁

"Normal attacks hit all foes"

so if i cast ice (Bufudyne) on 1 demon, it'll hit all 3?
or is it just for pysical attacks? ie: mightypower hit will hit all 3?
 
in other rpgs, like final fantasy, you could focus 1 attack or spell on 1 enemy or player to deal maximum damage/heal maximum damage. you could also "select all" and it would spread the damage/heal over multiple enemies/players, but it wouldn't cause as much damage/heal much damage.

other than that, i have no idea

tried it.

use drain to target 1. it didnt drain all 3 🙁

so still wondering what does attack all do?
