In desperate need of a Seagate 500GB SATA 7200.10 Firmware 3.AAE - How to find?

So here's the deal - I have a blown Seagate 500GB SATA drive, but the drive itself works. It's the controller board that is dead. With the dead board it won't even power up, so I swapped it with a different firmware board and it powered up. Of course, it won't transfer data or get recognized since the firmware is different. I NEED TO GET MY DATA OFF THIS DRIVE!

What I need is the exact same board so I can swap them long enough to pull the data off the drive. I need a Seagate Barracuda SATA 500GB drive version 7200.10 with firmware 3.AAE. Can anyone help? Technically, I only need the controller board. And right now in stores they only have firmware 3.AK which is useless for me.

Seagate sent me the right firmware as a warranty replacement...but a 7200.9 drive. No go. :(

I'd call seagate about that warranty replacement. If you have a 7200.10 they should send you a 7200.10 replacement.

Seagate is pretty useless, they won't guarantee a specific firmware/rev combo on a warranty replacement. Thanks, but they seem to not be able to help. Any other ideas?

I'm running a 7200.10 750 GB PATA 3.AAE right now. I'm sure they're out there. Go scour CL and the FS threads and when you see a 7200.10 SATA ask for their firmware.
