Where can I get the best deal on tires, I am in Buffalo right now... I am looking for something decent, goodyear, michelin, ect.... currently i see sears has some tires around $70 bucks a piece, i'd like to drop the prices to $60... I am a poor college student, and 40 bucks is a lot right now....

<< cheap is unsafe.. what car do u have ? and size do u need ? >>

cheap is unsafe? maybe, but i have bought the cheapest tire that "Discount Tire" has for the last four tires i have bought....never had a problem with them. none have blown out and have no other issues at all. i paid like $35 a tire.

I don't mean cheap, i just can't lay too munch money out right now....

I need 195/60/14...

I checked tirerack.com
and
dicounttires.com

Both have good prices but how much will it cost to install them?
Will sears price match??

Thanks for the help!!

when i got a tire at discount tires, for a $35 tire it was a total of about $50. so figure $15 per tire for installation. if i remember right that is what it was.

Gonna try Bj's, sears, and possibly pepboys, firestone, and goodyear tomorrow....
I hope i can get sears to price match the Goodyear Eagle HP for $60 a piece....

I got a set of tires for my car, from Sears for 4 for $99 plus installation. I had them mound and balance the tires, and it came out to about $150 for everything, including tax. Se

You can't buy the discontinued firestone tires. I've tried many times before. Basically I don't think dealers are allowed to sell recalled tires (at any price) back to the consumer. I know there has never been a defect with firestone tires, as its basically just a media issue.

Crap! To bad your on the other side of the country. I have a set of performance tires off my old Acura just sitting here in that size.

Another vote for tirerack & discounttire... Goodyears are suck... every single set I've ever driven or owned didn't give nearly as good of a value/performance as other major manus. Kuhmo doesn't sell their Z rated tires in your size... otherwise, I'd recommend those since they have great bang fer the buck.

I bought the exact same size tire from Discount Tire last week.
I bought Yokomhama HK420 they were $63 a piece.
$351.-- something on my car with Discount's warranty.
They have a 65,000 mile warranty if that matters to you.
🙂

Shop around, you might be able to get a closeout deal on an expired model of tire. I got my tires for only $39 each this way, when they were $65 new.

dunno, find a friend with price/costco card, tires are relatively ok for the quality. warrantees good😛 they fix flats and stuff for free generally. recently my tire got punched by a bolt or something, and since they were still so new i got a new tire for free🙂

i need some soon, i was just looking, and most of the tread on one tire is gone or really low, the other tires seem fine though

Buy the tires from discounttiredirect.com with free shipping. If Tirerack.com is cheaper, just pricematch using AMEX Blue. 🙂
